Not everybody wants to live according to German's standard as goes for diligence, work efficiency, etc.
Eg for us (I mean Czechs) it is natural because we are accustomed; we have lived with a close connection to Germans for 1000 years (even now there is a close economic connection between DE and CZ); it is part of our culture. That doesn't apply for all Europe; Southenr Europe is different.
Precisely. This is also why Greeks and Eastern European are poorer immigrants in the USA for the most part. Combined with a lower IQ.

Epicurus "A free life cannot acquire many possessions, because this is not easy to do without servility to mobs or monarchs.

Nothing is enough for the man to whom enough is too little.

The misfortune of the wise is better than the prosperity of the fool. "

exactly, and to be honest we all fell to a trap that a non-Greek (you) didn't fall

these are really the priorities of Southern Europeans, but since many countries evaluate individuals or countries according to economic standards, understanding differences in priotiries of others is not possible

Greeks are 9th in terms of average income in the USA. (First among other European ethnicities after Russians)
And Greeks are NOT university graduate immigrants with PhDs going to work as this in USA.
Greeks were immigrants that escaped poverty and managed to migrate and climb that much.

Ross, maybe your uncle could buy a trip to Greece for you. Think of it. It is a very nice country and Greeks are very nice people. Maybe they are not rich according to Norwegian standard (they are rich because of natural sources), but poverty looks different...

As for IQ (how it is measured) it is matter of a quality general education system. There are even studies how the development in less developed European countries would be speeded up if they were be able to adopt the Finnish education system.

Southern Europeans are hedonists and very passionate. Most of us are not obsessed about money. We like to enjoy in good things, and live a comfortable life.

As for being cheaper to live in turkey, I guess that's true, the same goes for ghana
Yes Turkey is in crisis, Turkey is falling and Greece is rising slavaaaa ortodox brader ccccc.

Just be quiet you rat, I speak with facts only. Turkey despite its crisis has a higher growth percentage than Greece still, what happens in the future neither of us can foresee but since crises tend to be temporary Turkey is more likely to start shitting on Greece as usual in a few years or less.
