Default Official Mestizo/Native population and percentage estimates by country

Self-identified Mestizos by population estimates (Note: In countries like Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Panama, Brazil, Cuba and the Cartagena region of Colombia, "mestizos" and Tri-racials are often lumped together so the "mestizo" populations in these countries in the rigid definition of the term are probably overstated)

-Cuba has the lowest population and percentage of Mestizos, Natives, and combined(Native descendent)

What shocked me the most was El Salvador! There must have been a lot of mixing going on there if Uruguay has a larger population and Puerto Rico has a higher percentage of Natives than them. Either that or their census has a more stringent definition of who qualifies as Native.

The Argentine number is wrong. You need to make this with genetic studies, not with self classification in census or estimations (like the argentine case)

    Chilean Mestizos are like.. everyone

Also most people who identify as Native American in Chile aren't actually Native American, they're Mestizos

It's usually left-wing people some of them very European-looking who want to "make a point" and so they say they're Mapuche

Your list seems accurate except the native percentage, there is no way Bolivia has less native (percentage wise) than Peru, Mexico & Guatemala. I would say Bolivia would be #1, then it would be Guatemala, Peru, Mexico, Panama.
I've also always thought Colombia & Venezuelans native population is under counted also.

This thread was kinda dumb, the one drop rule doesn't apply to Latin America mixed ethnicities can't longer belong to a certain group unless you look super obvious.

Reminds me how some English media newspaper said that Brazil had 100 million blacks living In the country

bolivia is 62% amerindian, 22% is totally ridiculous
    peru is only 24% self-identified
ecuador is 40% approximately 7% is very low, obviously many Amerindians identified as mestizo.
Unless you say that in Chile, for example, there are more Amerindians than in Ecuador.
    LOL

    you have source about this?
