I consider myself a Libertarian-Socialist. I believe very much in the free market but also believe public financing of some services like Libraries,Healthcare and Schools.

However, I am very much a libertarian when it comes to government spending and on social issues. I find racism disgraceful and will always stand against it. I also do not like deficits and out of control government spending.

I believe in freedom for all and all individuals should be free to live, work and date whom they want too.

I think multiculturalism can work and it tends to make the USA more exciting and interesting.

I think my views on multiculturalism and my dislike of racism and discrimination makes me not liked by many on here. So, I think maybe this place is intended for people that want to preserve their communities and it is not for someone that believes in multiculturalism. I think being an American of mixed ancestry has a lot to do with why I feel this way no American is just one ethnicity we are all mixed.

My belief in socialism is very specific. I do thing we need public schools, libraries,police, firefighters and some form of universal healthcare. These are all Socialistic things. However, I am very much at heart a capitalist when it comes to business and investment.

Those things are all part of what made our society great. That said what is labeled "multiculturalism" these days feels like a sinister rebranding of something else. I am a product of multiculturalism so I don't disagree with it in concept. I just don't want the floodgates opened so all the third worlders can come here. We have enough issues here as it is.

I actually believe in strict immigration and I want only the smarted and best to come here. I am not a fan of immigration when we have so many problems among the people alread here.

"Libertarian Socialism" is contrasted with "Authoritarian Socialism" in that the former is an anarchistic, democratic form of socialism which operates from the bottom-up rather than the heavy-handed, iron-fisted socialism which operates from the top-down characteristic of the Soviet Union, and Maoist China.

"Libertarianism" has a different meaning in the US than it does in Europe where the term originated.

In the American definition of Libertarian it is very much a free market style which does not believe in many laws that restrict freedoms,, For example, I am against gun restrictions and against drug laws. I think people should be free to do what they want as long as it does not directly hurt another person.

Humans are very competitive with each others so that is why I believe in the market to advance civilization as it works best with human nature. However, we need socialistic aspects to keep greed and businesses in line.
