Turks/Oğuz lived under both Göktürk, and then Khazer Kaghanates. Actually our ancestors had nothing to do with Uighur empire or Avar empire since we didn't live in their empire but that's not the case with Khazaria. The great Kaghan was also our Kaghan.



Khazers are forgotten in Turkey since their ruling stratum became Jews but that's silly. In the history of the Oğuz, Khazaria is a lot more important than Attila, Avar, Babur, Golden Horde etc.

There are later effects too. Obviously the academics of the Aegean university seem to have found the origin of the Ottoman timar system in Khazar kaghanate.
Timar was the early Ottoman system where Sultan granted land to Sipahi Turks in counterpart of their military service.
Turkish historians long searched the origins of this system in Seljuks, Byzantines, Abbasids even Göktürks had failed to find similar systems in those states. Obviously hints have been found in Khazaria.

It's better to be Mongol than Greek. Mongols created larger empire than Greeks ever did. The only difference is Greeks try to sell Semitic inventions as theirs like trigonometry or the Akkadian words Europe (Erebu-Sunset) and Asia (Asua - Sunrise).
Mongols were only owned by Göktürks and proto-Turks (Xiongnu) whereas Greeks were owned by everyone incl. Turks, Latins etc.
