A young Meghan was unhappy with the wording of the commercial, especially after two boys in her class said that it confirms the stereotype of women 'belonging in the kitchen.'

In 2015, Markle recalled the incident during a speech at the United Nations to mark International Women's Day.

'I remember feeling shocked and angry and also just feeling so hurt,' Markle said in the speech.
'It just wasn't right and something needed to be done.'

She said her father inspired her to bring about change.
'He encouraged me to write letters, so I did — to the most powerful people I could think of,' she said.

You know I appreciate you as a friend, and as a person, but I see things otherwise.
I think that everyone should do what they feel like doing. If you want to preserve your "race", I think you should go for it-marry some one like you. But if anyone wants to marry the love of his life, it doesn't matter if they are from different race. Everyone should go with what is right for them. No one can(and should) influence other choices. we are all humans, and true love is rare enough so we should never miss it.

You don't know very much the situation in Paris, but this is not heaven for women as it used to be. My Russian female friend and her friends will never hang out alone in that city again.

I agree about that. Immigration is ruining france (and germany and....). My family and I are aware to the situation and shocked- the French government making every possible mistake when it comes to foreigners immigration. Believe me I know very well what it means to have a huge minority of extreme Islam in my country.

I don't see a problem with a commercial showing women cleaning in the kitchen. She can do that and the man can cut the grass and trim the hedges, good partnership. In USA for 20 years all these commercial show men as bumbling idiots who can't change a lightbulb. Shameful.
