I dunno. I have the most cultural affinity with Dutch people, but to rate Frenchies low or Luxembourgers and Germans. I'm more neutral to them due to the linguistic barrier than anything. I could also look at Walloon Balloons are 'my neighours', but also versus them I'm neutral. They're an enigma to me, though, believe it or not. Tiny country and I am so unfamiliar with the ones not speaking my language. I guess I need to go out more.
Actually a Francophone spoke to me three days ago asking me in French for directions. My spoken French sucks, but I managed to help him. Typical of Francophones, assuming you speak French lol. But I have no complexes about the French language for I'm far enough from the linguistic border, so no Frenchification pressure here.

I might add that the UK could be seen as our overseas neighbour. I like them culturally, but out of all of my neighbours they might be the farthest removed in how they run things. They believe far more in religious freedom to the point the hardliners of a religion can express it in the fullest, which to my belief ironically hampers 'freedom' more as a society and creates more division in the end. I don't truly believe in such concept of 'religious freedom' to ever be achievable and it isn't a dogma of mine ethically. I am by all means a continental European and I'd probably have an easier time adapting to French culture than to British culture, despite the linguistic barrier being larger with the first, though the French also are way more PC than us (their government banned DNA tests for instance). I dunno. They might be both crazy.
