An important question, I think. Something to ponder about.

i wonder sometimes, but then i remember that god had to have created the universe, as a wise man told me you cant get something out of nothing. He told me that av + av = av. He asked if I knew what av meant. I said no sir, i have no idea what that is. He told me that av stands for absolute void. He asked me if i knew what an absolute void was. I said does it mean that its nothing? And he said no, it means ABSOLUTELY nothing. He said that nothing could have some particles in it, depending on who you ask, but ABSLOLUTELY NOTHING, is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. So you cant make something out of absolutely nothing.

Its the same if you put a baby in a 4 sided padded room that was pitch black, and left the baby in the room for 5 years, what would the baby know?

    NOTHING.

About 70% sure, based on everything I've read, heard and thought on the subject.

What I am sure of is that a finite existence is completely pointless.

Also, the questions of life-after-death and the existence of God are separate. There could be a God with no afterlife or an afterlife with no God (ignoring religious dogma).

Yes, good point. I guess what I meant was eternal life with God, because Jesus said those who believe in him will have eternal life.

As I see it, death is non-being. It seems more likely that the "ghost in the machine" requires the "machine" for its continued existence, than that it can exist extracorporeally. I find it impossible to be comforted by preposterous fairy-tales about the alleged afterlife.

And what if I told you it was real... and I am certain of it... it's in a higher dimension, a spiritual dimension.

What we do in life echoes in eternity.

What if being reincarnated is a real thing? Would that be considered eternal life in a way. A lot of people believe that when you die the darkness that surrounds you is your mothers womb and the light you see is the world your about to be brought into. And the reason you come out crying is because you remember everything from your past life and you're crying at the fact that you died and lost everything.
