Archaeologists Find First Venus Figurine in Croatia on Dugi Otok

Archaeologists have come across another unique find in Vlakno cave on the island of Dugi Otok.

Whilst researching Vlakno cave, archaeologists have discovered a Paleolithic Venus figurine in a layer more than 15,000-years-old, Zadarski.hr reports.

Venus figurines = pornography.

All that you hear about Goddess cult and mother/earth Godesses is pure nonsense. There were no such things as Mother Goddesses except in the imagination of Robert Graves. There was never any such cult in any part of the world ever. The goddess cult was and invention of Robert Graves back in the early 1900's.

These figurines were art and nothing more than mementos of hunting trips and sexual conquests.

They are not Venus figurines. They are stone age pornography and masturbation aids which the hunter gatherers took with them on long expeditions away from their wives. Why would a civilisation which at the time only consisted of hunter gatherers worship a mother goddess when they did not grow crops or farm animal, but hunted them. These things do not have a religious significance whatsoever. If these hunter gatherers worshiped a god it would have first and foremost been a war god or a god of hunting and we find none of those. They are pornography, nothing more and nothing less.

We know from historical texts that there was no such thing as the concept of a goddess until someone deified on of their queens and wrote down the deeds she did so that her descendents would know how great she was. Before this there were no gods and goddesses except the forces of nature and the heavenly objects which were venerated because they governed over the passage of the season and helped with navigation. Nobody made offerings to them, they simply used them to do basic agricultural and navigational science. Making offerings to the Gods is an exact copy of giving tribute to a feudal lord.

There were no such thing as God until they were invented at the same time as writing. The two go hand in hand. Non literate societies do not worship any Gods except the forces of nature and the heavenly bodies so as to predict the seasons. That was obvious to Eusebius and the writers he quotes from observation. Gods are an invention of civilisation through the deification of kings and the preservation of the historical deeds they performed and nothing more. After more people became literate they were also able to make their own family members into house Gods, until their memory lapsed through inability to preserve the texts of their lives. The state Gods had grater resources to preserve their memories.

In fact there was NO such thing as "monotheism" until it was invented in the Christian era. The ancients regarded all gods as equal and thus all races as equal. Everyone was allowed to worship their own ancestral gods NOT because they were gods but because they were a link to the peoples past. That's why the Greeks worshiped Greek Gods and NOT Persian ones or other Gods.

The Orgies or Orgia were the commemoration of the sins and excesses of the Gods. That's what the word actually means and women were part of it. The orgia of Dionysus involved hirinh prostitutes (flue girls) to entertain the guests.

Religion is nothing more than ancestor worship and nothing more. The only religion that has ever existed that did not involve worshiping ancestors but recognised a universal God unconnected with the past, present or future is Platonism and even that acknowledged the existence of ancestral Gods and reincarnation as the method of reaching this God, thereby making every man into his own God.

Exactly. The men of that period wasn't for a couple of days that they left. It was for months or even years if they were fighting a territorial war. Those figurines were enough to stop them from turning gay.

Ask yourself this simple question. Why are they name Venus figurines after the Roman Goddess of prostitutes, and why are they always naked. They are porn dollies plain and simple. There's even some of them holding a horn in ther hand. How more suggestive can you get.

Venus was not a fertility goddess. She was a goddess of love/sex and prostitution and that alone. All her temples were whorehouses. Demeter was the goddess of the corn. Why weren't they called Demeter figures. If these dollies were about crop or animal fertility they why didn't the depict pregnant animals and fields of corn and trees filled with fruit instead. It's because they were identified as pornography and associated with prostitution. They may have even been used as necklaces to identify women as prostitutes to their johns.

Firstly they were difficult to carve slim and attractive, these people probably preferred women with big tits and big arses like the people of Africa and the West Indies do today. You go to Africa and the West Indies and you will find out that they prefer women with big breasts and big arses, just like those porn dollies.

There is no such thing as a Mother Goddess is the same as saying there is no such thing as the Star Ship Enterprise. Both are works of science fiction with no basis whatsoever in historical fact.
