I am interested in that because of a side question I have, which is "what is British?" Apparently it's a complicated question. I am not that French from genetic testing but everyone says I look French. I should maybe be more French than tests show per genealogy. And apparently there are distinct kinds of French, uggh. I also had way more Scandinavian on one test than another, I'm guessing because they can't figure out what is my Scottish vs. Norwegian because of the history there? Also, my French names are Huguenot, and in terms of history/relatively recent inter-immigration- are all French "exactly" French"? What is "French"?

It is a complicated puzzle because not only am I American but also X2 mtdna, and also my tests don't really align. My best guess at this point is that to be X2 European then I must be a combination of genetically isolated groups (for example, the x2 euros are most likely something like Basque, Orkney, Hutterite which are at most 10% X2 mtdna though euros overall are something like 1,% X2) yet I have no verified genealogy of any of those. Soooo, wtf basically lol

Even though I'm an American mutt I've been told on numerous occasions that I have a "British" look. My father was often told that as well. I don't really know one way or the other but I'm sure what looks British to an American might look very different to a UK native.
