I don't think it's only "Slavo-Turkic", it has many other influences but I get what you're saying. My issue is that Bosniaks tend to focus only on "Turk" and "Slav" while Bosniaks are a stand alone Nation like all other Nations, our culture is richer than just "Slav" or "Turk".
My surname doesn't have the "ic" at the end (which I guess you're referring to) and many other Bosniaks are in the same case. The "ic" a vestige which has been abused in the Balkans, many people have the ending "OV-ic" or "EV-ic" which is redundent in itself since ov, ev and ic mean pretty much the same thing.

Family names are subject to change as often they were just a description of the person, such as a phisical characteristic, profession, etc (talking about the People in general, not "noble" dynasties, etc). The Slavic suffix on the last name as I said is a vestige that literally means "son of", it's the same as Turkmen or Uzbek people for example having names like "Karimov" (son of Karim) yet they aren't Slavs, they just happened to be in a Slavic dominated Union when Lastnames became official, most people who have a name ending in "ic" are people who got that Surname either under Austria or the first Yugoslavia.
