    I don't know anything about Turkish dishes, so I cannot give my opinion.

    All I can say is that I like Italian food a lot. TRUE Italian food , NOT Italian-American food.

    Chickpeas are common in all of Italy, and Sardinia included and “cous cous” is also used in Sardinia as fregola very traditionally. I would never say Sicilian food is Neapolitan food with North African influences. Sicily has way too many unique dishes to say such a thing, and North African proper food is unique to itself was well. Also Neapolitan food is its own thing.
