Define "Metaphysics"

I am in my final year of undergraduate studies about to get my degree in Philosophy... to this date I have taken a good handful of classes that focus specifically on metaphysics and have read numerous books which use the term as if it has some unambiguous meaning, but I am still baffled by people who use the term ironically as if it has any clear meaning.

If you think the term "metaphysics" can be defined clearly and unambiguously then please help me out by providing your definition in this thread.

Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy which includes ontology, cosmology, and epistemology.
