Trump isn't a strong leader, quite the opposite, but I get what you mean. I don't know too much about Turkey's internal affairs, but I do know Putin, contrary to the way Western media represents it (the same Western media that will complain about the Russian oligarchy with their mouths and yet swoon and fawn over actual Russian oligarchs at the same time), curbed the oligarchs down.

Since Turkish Lira is constantly losing value against Euro and Dollar, there has been dramatic drop in people's purchase power over last 5 years. So the international (dollar-euro) counterpart of people's salary and savings in Turkey is constantly shrinking and shrinking.
The alleged growth rate doesnt really reflects on the average people's pockets. I mean workers still live in same conditions.

Turkey is a country where the gap between the rich and poor is one of the most dramatically high in the world and this gap keeps widening. People are asked to stick to religion not to think about those issues. They say don't question, you pray and when you will die, you will go to heaven.
The capitalism and liberal market model in Turkey isn't like in Nordic welfare countries, it's more like in the chaotic capitalistic model as described by Marx and Engels.

America and the EU are waging a currency war against Turkey (as well as many other countries, and among among themselves), of course the value of the lira is going to drop. It is not true that Turkey is one of the countries with the greatest income inequalities in the world per the statistics, by the way. Turkey's GINI index is on part with most of Western Europe. Not that economic measures really means much these days. Ukraine and Albania are some of the most GINI-efficient countries in the world, although it says very little about the actual economic conditions in those two countries. I get the impression you're a "Westernizer", though, so I don't exactly know whether to take you too seriously either.

By the way, a persona like Erdogan is absolutely needed to develop in the same trajectory South Korea did. You Balkan guys who live in Switzerland and Western Europe are like Islamist Turks who live in Germany.

You wash and clean German enterprises and factories for 2000 euros / month, you have good salary you wouldn't get in BiH, Albania or Turkey.
Where you live you are maybe second class because of your identity.

So the only thing you care about is to gain psychological comforts for what you are mistreated by Westerner natives for: your religion, your identity.
And consequently, since you don't care for welfare (you have it in the West) you look at things from sole ideological point of view since you guys are Islamists at various levels.

It's why you don't understand the reality of life.
You tell people okay things are economically perfect so don't make noise and just follow. Maybe for you personally things are fine but you must empathize and try to understand how things are in Turkey or also Balkan countries.
