Why do many people label blatantly mixed-race people as 'Black'? (Especially in the US)

In America, people with small amounts of noticeable SSA ancestry always identify themselves as black. By society's standard he/she identifies as black, and is black. You never see an African American ever acknowledging the 10-50% of European ancestry due to society's overemphasis on diversity these days. I never see self-defined African Americans honoring their European ancestry, even if their European ancestry is more than half their ancestry. Also, being black today gives its recipients privileges, ranging from landing coveted college scholarships to getting plenty of perks from affirmative action programs.

Aframs are average the blacker slave descents in the whole America continent. Afro Latinos are in average 40-50% SSA, cause latin America didnt had racial segregation. Go to a guetto and youll see the average blacks in USA arent those light skinned you see on TV.

African American is just their cultural or ethnic Identity, that’s all. Their common history, traditions etc.
Everyone known the avg AA is of mixed bloodlines, some more, some less than others. Their (skin color, hair, eyes etc) doesn’t tell you everything about them. So please learn that. USA is a historically segregated country. Latinos share traditions and cultures with their fellow country people. I know it's hard, but you and I will never get used to US things. We are Latino. Many here declare themselves to be mixed.

30 percent non African is a lot they are mixed alot with Europeans do you see Europeans in America with 30 percent ssa on average? No
