i think in this video varg makes some excellent points. many people think we can just pollute and pollute and use up all the resources and destroy the planet and it will be fine because we can just move to a different planet. this is completely ridiculous if you actually think about it, because it would be impossible to find a planet that is suitable for human living. even if there was one it would take literally thousands of years to get there if we could travel at light speed, which we are nowhere near capable of doing.

humans evolved to live on earth, if we lived on another planet there would be major problems like different elements in the atmosphere for breathing, and different gravity that would cause problems for our skeletal system, as well as as different length of day which would cause problems for our circadian system and so on.

"why do they want to go to some heavenly paradise? why do they want to visit other planets? what's wrong with life? what's wrong with our own planet? why don't we focus on making this planet a good place to be instead?"

some of his ideas are kind of wacky (like how he thinks there will be an imminent disaster coming where the vast majority of the global population will be wiped out, but he simultaneously recommends people have many children like 6+, also how he thinks humans have drastically genetically degenerated in the past tens of thousands of years which is impossible because selection takes much longer than that), but i think in this video he is spot on.

by the way i like your signature photo it's beautiful, i admire the german empire in some ways, it was much better than the west is today
personally i don't think wilhelm ii was a good leader but i think bismarck was, wilhelm i and frederick iii were ok too.

in 2011 nasa took up 35% of the entire academic research budget of the united states. just my opinion but it is a huge waste of money because it could be spent on much more worthwhile endeavors like developing a clean energy source like nuclear fusion energy or LFTR reactors, or for better medical technology for example. the benefits of nasa are negligible in comparison.

everyone likes nasa just because it's exciting but in reality it's pointless.
