His wife, Donika, the daughter of Arianiti was Orthodox and they married in a Orthodox church. But he died as a Catholic and even his wife is buried in a Catholic church in Spain. BTW, first time that i hear about Greek volunteers. We know even about an English knight, John Newport who arrived as a volunteer together with 12 archers, but never about Greeks.
