Austria's Chancellor: 'I Fully Respect' Israel's Decision to Boycott New Far-right Ministers

New Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said on Tuesday that he respects Israel's decision to boycott Austria's newly appointed far-right ministers over concerns for their party's anti-Semitic roots.

Kurz added that it will be his party's "task to do a good job at home as well as convince abroad," and that he is "optimistic" that they will succeed to "dispel all concerns."

On Monday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who also holds the foreign affairs portfolio, said that Israel will boycott Austria's far-right ministers, instructing Israeli ministers to work only with lower-ranking officials.

Austrias far right party is not anti-semitic. They are anti-immigrant and their slogans are mostly anti-muslim. They never said anything about jews, no one cares about jews here.
