    Yes, because Romania is a heterogeneous country in terms of culture, traditions, and of course genetics.

    Dude stop it. If are you're aware only of the Moldovan traditions, that's fine. But understand your limits.

    These New Year traditions are present in all historical regions of Romania.
    Here's a poster for a presentation of similar traditions in Transylvania:



    Understand that despite being separate medieval principalities, the Romanian historical regions shared very similar culture/traditions.
