could be as this are pagan traditions dating back to the pre-Christian era

And? Before Romania existed Moldova for 500 years. Maybe today Moldavians from Romania lost their identity in the last 150 years, but their culture is still specific mostly for Moldova region, on the same time Romania profit intense from this showing mostly traditions and customs from Moldova as an example of very beautiful and unique Romanian ones.

first Moldova region covers 1/3 of Romania.
second not all of those traditions are limited to moldova region..some of them like "capra" are found in all historical regions.
third this traditions are not even limited to romania as u can see..let alone to moldova

Such a clear exposition of the Russian imperialist viewpoint on Moldova's history.

Moldova was a Romanian state. Of course Romanian states weren't united during medieval times - big deal - powerful neighbors made sure that didn't happen. It's sad to see that there are Romanians still willing to play that game for the benefit of other states.
