Alright, this thread is for talking Cryptos.

Obviously, this is a market subject to wild fluctuations. It is still at its infancy so no one can make any long term predictions. I don't give a fuck what you think you know, no one really knows.

So as for predictions, limit it to a general 3-6 month term.

Which Cryptocurrencies would you bet on to rise significantly in the next few months?

My bets are Ripple and TRON.

I dont see Bitcoin going much higher than its current value this year. At most it may double in the next few months, but that pales compared to the potential of the other coins. Bitcoin is the most famous crypto and the founder technology, so obviously it received by far the most investment initially. But it costs too much per transaction so its utility is very limited. Basically, aside from being a storage of value, it really has no other utility.

Thats why I see Ripple really taking off, because its practical fundamentals are much stronger. It has the possibility of taking the place of Swift in bank transactions and has a growing array of partnerships and its transaction costs and times are very low and fast.

Tron I see rising very quickly because it has the backing of a lot of large Chinese tech players including tencent and alibaba, and it's cost per coin is very low right now, although its market cap is already no 11 (it was no 17 a week ago) and its trading volume is already in the top 6. So I see it rising very fast in the near future. Long term wise, it will depend on whether they really pull off what they are planning to do. Thats far from certain.

I have some of it. I think it will rise this year, but dont see it rising as fast as ripple or tron. Ripple has had an explosive last few months, if it keeps expanding with its partnership, it is going to be huge. It might be the Google of the crypto world, although its not technically a crypto coin.

There are a lot of rumors that Ripple might be added to Coinbase this year. It is very critical if you want to invest to get some before it gets added. It will explode in value (possibly trading at $15 a coin) if it gets added.

Neat. I keep meaning to get my shit straightened out and buy. I'll keep that in mind.
I do worry about a lot of these becoming artificially inflated though. If people are buying them to have them and not actually use them, a crash will happen inevitably.
