I think a major problem with the Muslim world is the ones that stay quiet and do not stand up to fight back against the radicals. They need the moderate voices of their own people to call them out.

I do commend prominent Muslims like Majid Nawaz who stand against radical Islam and its dangers.

Liberals like many Conservatives live in a bubble of their own making. People that are far on either side tend to only listen or believe what they want to and they are not open to hearing from others no matter if what they believe is totally proven false. I think the internet has made it much worse. Because many people can now make up any type of bullshit put it on the web and people will believe it. Politics is now turning to the fringes on both sides and it make it hard to meet in the middle and get things done. Moderates tend to not be the loudest people in the room; the ones on the far left or right are. So it makes a moderates job difficult even if the majority of the country is Moderate.
