Haha that's awesome. I think I heard about those habits of Scythians. Nothing wrong with indulging a little now and then. It's not "degenerate", haha. Who uses that word seriously anymore these days? People need to chill out.
From what I've read, cannabis consumption practices were also common in ancient Thracian and Dacian societies, in southeastern Europe. They were known to have had some contacts and influences from the migrating Scythians. So it's an interesting connection.

Yeah, apparently the word for 'hemp' in English is ultimately derived from Scythian.
As for Ayahuasca, some day I'll maybe try it. Not to keen on throwing up though.
I think the ancient Indians or Iranians used a drug called soma or haoma in shamanic practices, which may have had to do with mushrooms.
