Vintage Airline – Dive into the golden age of aviation with these 13 fascinating photos

Some deliciously vintage photographs compiled by CNN, that take us into the golden age of aviation, at a time when airlines were selling dream and luxury before transportation. At the exact opposite of modern low cost airlines, these photographs from the 50s and 60s remind us that at that time, air travel was synonymous with cocktail, luxury, glamor and gastronomy (and that it was possible to smoke in a plane). But we must also remember that luxury has a price, and that at that time a round trip between London and Sydney cost the equivalent of 30 weeks of average salary, whereas today it represents only one week.
