If you look at the lungs of smokers after an autopsy... humans aren't born with a fag in their mouth. Their lungs are designed to inhale oxygen, not smoke.

Some people care more for their iphones or their cars than their own bodies. You don't see people filling-up the engines of their cars with harmful products that will clog-up the smooth running of the engine... even though spare parts for cars can always be found and bought... but it's not so simple to find spare body part donors once the lungs and heart, etc, are damaged and destroyed.

I saw far more smokers (including female smokers) when I was in the UK than I do in the USA although Whites in the USA smoke the most.

Also, for a European country you Britons have a lot of obese people although not as much as America.

The rate of male smokers is higher because women find it more attractive in men than men do in women.

And I don't hate women.

The only people who find male smokers attractive are female smokers. Which makes for a perfect couple. They can hold hands while they make their adjacent hospital beds reek of tobacco.

I don't think you've even been to the UK. We have a lot of help here for smokers... including free Stop Smoking counselling clinics with free NRT patches, etc, to help addicts, National Non Smoking Days, etc.

Cigarettes are statistically more expensive to buy in the UK than in other European nations.

Smoking is banned in the UK in all public places (including pubs and bars) with fines and risks of places being closed-down if the law is broken.

All cigarette and tobacco products sold in the UK must feature large pictures of lung cancer, cataracts, alzheimer's, autopsy pictures of people who've died from smoking, etc.

All cigarette and tobacco products sold in the UK must not be displayed on public view in shops and has to be kept hidden from public view behind a metal door.

All tobacco products in the UK must have large bold health warnings displayed on the packaging.

All tobacco packaging sold in the UK must be in the same drab green-brown colour (voted as the ugliest colour in Australia) to help deter smokers.

October is the UK's national non-smoking month which helps to raise awareness of all the 21st century help available to smoking addicts.

Also smoking is forbidden outside the passages and doorway entrances of public buildings and people can be fined if they carelessly drop cigarette butts onto the pavements instead of using a pocket-ashtray.

It's also illegal in the UK to smoke in a car if other passengers are present, even with the windows turned down. The police can stop and fine people if they're caught on CCTV cameras breaking the smoking laws.

Also small packets of 10 cigarettes were banned in May last year in the UK and can now only be sold in the more very expensive packs of 20. The price of tobacco and cigarettes is high in the UK and raises in price each year. Menthol and any flavoured tobacco being sold was also banned last May in the UK.
