Billion views youtube videos. Why are there so many of them now ?

I remember the first video to reach over a billion views were Gangnam Style and I though only a few video would ever reach that level.

There's now almost 93 freaking youtube videos with OVER a billion views !!! The most crazy of them all was "Despacito"... reaching 4.5 billion views in less than a freaking year ( Where the hell do you get more than half of the world's population to watch a youtube video ? )

I THINK ALMOST ALL OF THESE VIDEOS ARE FAKE YOUTUBE VIEWS with exceptions of Gangnam style by PSY and Baby by Justin Bieber. The numbers of of registered youtube viewers is not that different from 2012.

That's not how it works. Youtube has a algorithm that makes a video gain a view if a person has watched a certain amount of length of said video. It doesn't count that view as one and done though. It means that I can technically give a video 100 views without anyone else watching it just by me clicking on it and watching it over and over again. Decpacito is a song so it's a lot more likely that the average person has given it more than just 1-2 views, but rather around 5-10.

But it's still impossible. I mean that video today has nearly 4.67 billion views in roughly a year where as his other youtube videos ( The singer of the video Luis Fonso ) have barely 15 million views, 17 million views in 3 months. Although one video has 485 million views in 1 month it's still absolutely nothing compared to his "Despacito" video.

I thinks like this. It's a combination of high number of people watching + tampering with the numbers + Buying and distorting youtube views. They properly added the numbers to gain more international popularity. It is impossible that there are nearly 100 youtube videos with a billion views.

Nope. Youtube bans videos flooded by scripts. They did it to a video by Belinda and others latinos.

I don't understand how a video like this gets 4,659,051,293 views ( 4.659 billion views ). It's just a typical boring Latino video, nothing new, nothing special and nothing comical.

Typical videos. Half naked hot women dancing in slums and clubs. You can easily notice that Latino songs have higher views than English.

I think they paid the YouTube staff millions to get those views. There are music videos who barely have a million views, even just under 300,000 in a year and sound way better than this yet these type of crappy songs gets over 100 million views in just few weeks.

Prob because Anitta is popular in Brazil and we are a big nation
There are a plenty of youtube reactions for her videos and debates. And despacito was number one in every country charts

I can't take any of these crap seriously. There's even a Asian boyband called BTS that sings only in Korean and wins the billboard music award 2017.

They had one of the most best selling albums in 2016-2017 lol
Just because u dont like it doesnt mean people dont buy it
Despacito spent many times in the number one of billboard and radios
so people will watch da videos
