I REALLY hate K-pop music. I don't know much about Latino music, so I can't comment on that, although Shakira comes to my mind when someone asks me about any notable Latina singers.

Americans music derived a large influence from Europe.

Much of European music originated from European Gypsy with Indian music culture. Flamenco, Slavic music, Turkish/Arabic belly dances. Many of it's dances and guitar music style originated from Gypsies.

In a way Indians laid a portion of it's foundation on American music because modern European music are influenced by Spanish, Slavic, Germanic, British.

Kpop is trendy and that's why it's popular. Not that I'm a fan of it, but if it's improving the profile of East Asians, I support it.
