Default A medieval Turkic song about Kurds

Kurt Nahshisi - Song of the Kurds (Uyghur Folk Song)
    (not the entire translation)
Oh Lord, we have a homeland
    Of rivers, water, villages,
    Gardens cared for by gardeners,
    And fruit-bearing trees.
The old rest in their dwellings,
And the young go to war shooting arrows.
Snow white are its mountain peaks,
    A jade necklace, its stones,
    The fruits of heaven ripen,
    The dervishes perform their prayers.

Origin unknown. Many Uyghur bakhshis (scribes and bureaucrats) ended up in places like Iran and Asia Minor during Mongol expansion. There were also many Uyghur merchants along the silk road who could in theory have brought the stories of an idealized homeland of the Kurds back to Western China (Moghulistan in that particular time period).

Edit: I uploaded a better quality version (with pipa) here https://www.4shared.com/mp3/Bmb8u1PQ...the_Kurds.html

No Uyghur word for wolf is böre from old Turkic böri. I don't know the etymology of Turkish equivalent 'kurt'.

Kurt is Turkic, it also means worm and it probably has the same meaning in other Turkic languages.

Word for Wolf in Azeri is Canavar(monster), it is believed that saying the word Wolf was a taboo among Oghuz Turks (like saying the word Bear among proto-IE) so they replaced it with other words.

Interesting given that wolf is a revered totem animal in Turkic mythology. I wonder whether Nakh peoples in the Caucuses got their wolf totem from Turkic people like the Khazars. Even word wolf if I am not mistaken is 'Borz' in their languages. Old Turkic böri and Chechen/Ingush borz? Anyhow 'Kurt' in this context means Kurd. There many folk songs referring to these or those people, 'the song of the...' or there is also a folk song called 'our song'.
