Having curly/wavy hair is not an easy thing, specially in zones with lots of humidity that promotes frizz. Straightening hair is more about convenience than looks. I have big curls or waves and it's very hard to control. Wavy hair doesnt look like models but a mess most of the time, that's the main reason girls straighten it, or at least use some product to make it more docile.

Shes fully Italian Brazilian. The reason why most Brazilian have curly and wavy is because most are mixed race and the whites are Southern Europeans.
