Why does this Bulgarian singer look 'Asian'?

Tereza Todorova (Тереза Тодорова) - Young Bulgarian Singer.


She is 13 years old & she won Kids' version of Slavianski Bazaar last year.


She looks 'Asian' to me, her epicanthal folds are clearly visible.

I wonder she is a pure 'Bulgarian' or she is mixed with another ethnicity?

She actually replied to me & she is actually pure Bulgarian from both parents:

I am Bulgarian. And my father and my mother too. But ... obviously I have an Asian look. You are not the first to tell me this

She has distant asian ancestry. I bet her parents look much more normal. It's the same case with other similar looking Balkan people like, for example, Jelena Jankovic.
