My current opinion is that it was local Serbian gangsters. I always look to see who has the most to gain and ability to pull it off. In a town of 50,000 if you're not a local someone would notice you and no one has said they noticed anyone unusual.

Although if it was me pulling off an assassination like this I would drive with gallons of gas in the back so I wouldn't have to use a gas station. I'd have as little contact with people as possible.
