I noticed I have slowed down a good bit this year. I am getting hurt more at the gym. I crave sugar more. I also get tired easier and it takes longer to recover from a workout. It's much easier to gain weight. I care much less about a lot of things as well.

I'd suggest to check your liver functions. Diet might affect it too. From evolutional development our bodies are designed to function reliably until 35-40. After that guarantee expires and all sort of random health problems could pop out.
