    info? was the grandparent a male or a female, from which parent's side etc

    would it be enough to test my mother+my grandmother to see if the ancestor was a male or a female? it only matters to me if the person was a grandmother from my mother's side (because that would technically make me jewish)

    Yes. Perhaps just test your grandma actually.

    Keep in mind, these are approximations and you might not literally have a fully Jewish grandparent.
