There's not a stereotypical Turkish look. Black Sea is usually associated with fair-skinned, green or blue-eyed people, West, Northwest and Southwest are associated with Balkan migrants, South is associated with rather tanned mediterrenean-looking people, East is associated with dark-skinned people and so on. Also Anatolia has always been a crossroads region hosting all kinds of peoples ranging from Celts to Romans.

There's so much prejudice against Turkey and Turks, mostly based on general ignorance and lack of observation.

We're all gathered under the common identity which is Turkish, because the land was conquered by Turks. This is an undeniable fact. No one is native to any place. The history has witnessed many different tribes invading different places and marking their territory. Turkic tribes coming all the way down from Central Asia and Siberia conquered Anatolia and absorbed the people living in it (survival of the fittest). This is the same with other nations. Accept it and move on you obtuse assfaces.

What is wrong with looking like other people living close by? Are you racist? Why do you feel the need to quickly distance yourself from Arabs or Kurds?

we are one of the most darkwashed ethnic group on the net . it is very weird. we also get grouped with people often which we dont have much to do with . check my oracle results in my signature .... to be 25% east iranic from central-southcentral asia I would need to be 50% cypriot and 25% chechen which of course is great for my owd heart . but seriously ...these forums have their own kind of thinking patterns and most of it is hard to crush even when they are bullshit and disproven again and again .

I know what Kurds look like since my family is from Iraqi Kurdistan. And it's not difficult or "embarrassing" for any Assyrian I've met to ackownledge that we look somewhat similar to Kurds or Iranians(probably closest population after Mizrahi Jews and Alawites). This is purely a Turkish thing, don't forget that. Turks wherever they are, even online have this aura around them that makes people sick.

Iranians look often foreign to me especially because their country is big and too diverse itself . many iranians dont pass among us . I dont see the big overlap to them and I find it always lulzy when people say "Kurdish or Iranian , Kurdish/Iranian" etc. . of course there is overlap (and many people actually dont know well how iranians look either . they are very misrepresented and people are ignorant) but we are always shown as if we are 2 testicles of the same ballsack

Assyrians I do see more overlap . Alawites too . but more with south caucasus
