A lion is the symbol for England (along with the red rose)... and male lions mark their territory by openly urinating.

There was some uproar from some other nations who complained about the English cricket team creating a golden shower by openly pissing at The Oval.... but the historic Oval cricket ground is in our own country and is England's own territory, along with Lords.

Cricket is a dangerous game as the super-hard balls that are hit at high speeds can seriously injure and kill people.

So it's their own ground and territory and they were elated with their triumphant victory of winning the historic Ashes back.
