The name change will not be acceptable by the majority of the Macedonians and almost all the Greeks (because the word Macedonia in the name). As a consequence Macedonia will not be admitted to be member of EU and Nato. The consequence of this consequence will be disappointed hopes, new elections and having Russia and China filling the gap.

Don't worry pug. We Macedonians don't have an issue as long as you differentiate from us, and the Greeks shall also follow suit once your irredentism gets thrown out of the window. Macedonia is already in the EU and NATO, something like "New Macedonia" is waiting at the entrance right now.

Ukraine will need decades to neutralise the negative Soviet influence. Macedonia is in a better situation. Yugoslavia was not as horrible as USSR.
