Where are all the Armenian engineers and scientists now? Nowhere to be found. That window of opportunity has closed.
Ignorant, now my region has more Armenians than it ever had during USSR by times. What window has closed? The matter is where they are really overrepresented is commerce and business. Not engineering at all. Isn't it best not to meddle in a discussion you have no idea about?

Even my basic knowledge in the matter allows me to say they were overrepresented in Soviet engineering. Armenian engineers occupied top positions like Artem Mikoyan (of MiG fame), Alexander Kemurdzhian (Lunokhod designer) and Mikhail Pogosyan (former director at Sukhoi).

In contrast, for instance, I haven't heard of any Estonian engineers in Soviet times, though I'm sure there were many. I doubt that's a coincidence.

3 names isn't that much to talk about any over representation indeed.

Here's a list of 200 surnames of Soviet engineers out of which only 3.5% are Armenian. And out of those 3.5% two percents probably originate from Jews (Abramyan).

    Spoiler!

Excellent, but I haven't heard about 99% of them. I'm talking about overrepresentation at the top.

I guess you have no proof for this statement.

Besides, you said the following ravings were "true":
Armenian and Georgian churkas were literally all the scientists and engineers in the Soviet Union.

you're deliberately misquoting me. I said they were overrepresented, not that they were "literally all the scientists and engineers in the Soviet Union."
where did you come up with that?

and why are you so upset with this? what's your point?

I quoted sean, not you. But you've quoted him and said what he said were "true". Do you try to play dumb or troll me??

Because you talk BS. The matter is in USSR they were most overrepresented in the shoe repairing service. And now also in trade, commerce and business. That is where money flow the most.
And you supposed there are less of them in Russia now. While it's exactly the other way around.
    Do what you should.

In fact, there are a lot of brilliant Armenian scientists and engineers in today's Russia as well. And I can name them if you are interested. And do not listen to that clinical idiot Rumata. Most likely in his childhood he was beaten by Armenian child and now he is implementing his children's complexes here.

When people like Arsen hear something they find unpleasant, even if it's true they instantly think about beating you up. That's surely a part of 'churka mentality'.
