Again with this Albanians were Byzantines joke lol, sure we were citizens of their empire but we didn't call ourselves Byzantines we had our own ethnos. The flag of Kastrioti was always red even in times of peace and the flag Skanderbeg hoisted is definitely his houses flag and not the Byzantine flag, the flag of Kastrioti only shares a double headed eagle and red field with the Byzantine flag that's it. The fact that the Albanians had a name for themselves and spoke their own language shows that they weren't just "Albanian speaking Byzantines". Skanderbeg himself called himself Albanian lol and believed that he was a descendant of Alexander the Great

Skenderbegs flag is a 16th century invention. But even then it was YELLOW
