    sounds very similar to persian with few urdu/hindi words here and there..

    There are some words that Pashto and Kurdish (or maybe just Sorani Kurdish?) share in common that neither share in common with Persian. But overall Kurdish is obviously much closer to Persian. It might sound similar since Persian was influenced by Arabic to a very extreme degree and even had Semitic influence from the Arameans and Assyrians. Both Pashto and likely Kurdish were much less influenced by Arabic, although large Arabic influence exists in those languages as well.

    The Kurdish here sounds a lot like Pashto:

    I meant that it was linguistically close to Persian. I agree they sound significantly different.

    well both are iranic languages . but I havent yet spotted another iranic language that sounds close to kurdish much . I will research and tell you

    btw. the video I posted listen to 9:20 when he sings. he has a nice voice
