Default Best book to read on indo-Europeans or bronze age cultures?

Genetic, anthropological, cultural, linguistic, or a combination of these - preferably in-depth. Is there a book you have read about Bronze age cultures that you would recommend?

Is Encyclopedia of Indo-European Culture or In Search of the Indo-Europeans by J. P. Mallory any good?

Well I am reading a book called Ancestral Journeys which talks about the whole history of the 3 migrations into Europe i.e the hunter-gatherers, Farmers and Indo-Europeans. I think it is really good, it talks about haplogroups a lot and includes info on things like the copper age, farmers who developed the use of dairy in their diet etc. I would recommend it https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ancestral-J...stral+journeys

The Albanians, these tigers of mountain wars ... have as their religion rebellion. Even their worst warrior is one of the strongest and bravest on the battle-field, just as if he was a knight on the legendary horse. But he has no horse, nor proper weapons for battle. Instead of the horse, he has a lance which strikes as lightning, he has spears who's points are full of posion as the sting of hornets, he has also a wooden bow with some arrows. Furthermore, he is stronger than iron ...

Thanks a lot man. Does it refer to specific cultures as well (ie. Bell-beaker, Yamna, etc.)? I think I will buy one of J. P. Mallory's books but I am afraid his writings might be out dated? Do you think that will be an issue?

Yh it does refer to specific cultures like Yamna, Bell Beakers and then Slavs, Mycenaeans etc. I haven’t read J.P mallory’s books but he does have a lecture on YouTube which I have seen and he does seem to know what he’s talking about

Yeah I was thinking about that one as well, it's very popular. There's a Russian user on here who is reading it and recommended it.

This is the same book Kelmendasi linked and user Leto recommended to me. I will check it out, thanks a lot for the link. I usually read hard copies but I might end up reading this one on my tablet.
