You should. There was a guy who raped and killed an innocent Jordanian Arab boy here, and he was executed by hanging(it's not public execution though). Many Jordanians were so furious that they wanted to take revenge on the man's family as well which they fled Jordan after the incident.

This is why we need the death penalty: to prevent people from taking the law into their own hand. This is why I think that, if we are to start executing people, it has to be done as efficiently and humanely as possible. I think we should revise and adopt the British Official Table of Drops (which they used when they still used to hang people) as it is meant to kill someone quickly (by breaking the neck - and preferably in under 10 seconds), rather than strangle them for half an hour. This also means using the British instead of the standard noose:
