And the Pennsylvania Dutch are originally from West Germany, not Holland.

Doubt they are lighter than the people of British Isles. Maybe Whitest in US but not in Europe.

Scandinavians can tan (average level more, or atleast more than gingers in UK)....just because at February-March...Sun can be hard here (the reflections from white snow/ice)....plus at summer time...then Sun nearly go down at all (but Sun is still much much softern than in anywhere southern. UK? It is not known for Sunny days.

But if those ethnics will be compared at Christmas time? That would be ''interesting''.

LOL. Pure ethnic Swedes (skin) really do't look like that in here. Plus digital photography gives you all the tools to change light conditions. The photos I posted...girls were in same photos.

Light blondes are only "blondes" for me. Generally speaking in Scandinavia...yes, what a lighter your hair is the more easily you will burn. Gingers and people with freckles are exception on that.

I don't really identify as white. I identify as Celto-Germanic from British isles stock.
