I've been tested as below average a couple times, but it's probably fine-- I'm excellent at cooking and baking, and my partner can bend me over whenever he feels like it

I would not have expected that. Was this an online test or official IQ test like WAIS/WISC administered by a psychologist?

Online-- so it can't really be trusted. My official childhood results are much different, but they were taken so long ago that I can't imagine them being relevant. I've had a major concussion and significant stress (like enough to develop fibro) since then, so it probably isn't as high anymore. I also never saw the results myself and cannot trust that they were realistically that high.

Not all cognitive skills would be equally affected by a traumatic brain industry. It often has effect on working memory and processing speed, represented by Cognitive Proficiency Index on the Weschler tests. Perceptual reasoning and verbal comprehension represented by General Abilities Index are less affected. I think your earlier WISC evaluation may still have substantial value at least for those areas less affected.

This study found a much higher GAI than CPI among 47 subjects with a TBI:

I don't know about the severity of your case but generally people are able to recover the cognitive losses for a minor traumatic brain injury like a concussion.
