RESULTS:
The patients with very high pre-morbid IQ had significantly lower scores on negative and disorganised symptoms than typical patients (RRR=0.019; 95% CI=0.001, 0.675, P=0.030), and showed better global functioning and insight (RRR=1.082; 95% CI=1.020, 1.148; P=0.009). CONCLUSIONS:

I'm a greater believer in a 'psychosis spectrum' ranging from mild/transient symptoms of psychosis through to chronic/severe symptoms.

possible bro. i was told in hospital im shizophrenic because im intelligent and think alot. they didnt do a iq test but generally said that "you are intelligent and you think alot". now i found out its the other away around and shizophrenics have low IQ that surprised me.

I was diagnosed first of all with schizophrenia at 18. By 26 it had changed to schizoaffective mixed type/bipolar. In 2005 it was changed to personality disorder NOS. Then around 2005 to paranoid PD(which is a bad fit). I see myself as asd(traits)+ avoidant + NVLD + schizotypal(traits)

Ok, I finally took the IQ test (a couple of different ones to be exact) after not having taken one since I was 14 and my results across different tests oscillated between 117 and 124 IQ points. I never felt the need to take the test until my boredom took over and I got tempted.
