Its quite simple: let them rob you, let them take anything they can, then after they are gone you call the cops.

The only exception is if your life is in direct danger. So the burglar has to be shooting at you are sticking a knife into you, only then you may resist. Most people dont own guns in Europe, only cops and criminals do btw.
