they are the same, middle class Venezuelans, the difference is that Mexico is not very tolerant of foreigners whether they are middle/upper class, euro or Latino, they are not welcome
surprisingly, Haitians have been more helped in Mexico than Venezuelans or Central Americans, though Haitians are still not wanted in Mexico due to the fact that Mexicans think all those resources being used on Haitians should be used on Mexican citizens living in poverty

in Mexico, South Americans and Central Americans are not very welcome, and you can check the comments on youtube if you search up Venezolanos en Mexico, Argentinos en Mexico, Guatemaltecos en Mexico etc, all very racist comments you will see from Mexicans

They are already immigrating in large numbers. Thing is most of them come here to work with honesty and dignity, it's not a minor detail that most of them seem to be middle class in their own country, have actual professions and had the money and common sense to flee from the dictatorship in their country (and eventually want to come back.).

An opposite example would be the Dominicans that also came in large numbers, but unlike the venezuelans they're not good immigrants as it's common for them to be very uneducated and working as prostitutes, drugs or having very basic jobs (generally people here prefer educated immigrants than ones that work on basic jobs, let alone illegal ones).

Im sure if poor uneducated venezuelans came we would not like them either, but as I said the ones that come seem to be educated, hardworking and decent.

It might be because your country is more tolerant than others, also if there is a lot more employment in Uruguay then it wont cause citizens and foreigners to fight against each other for a job position, which is different from other Latino countries where employment is low and on top of that, here comes these foreigners trying to steal the few jobs the country has to offer. That alone causes tensions between the citizens and the new wave of immigrants

    Exactly. Same opinion here

It's good to know that those Venezuelans who emigrate give a good image wherever they go, though unfortunately that means that Venezuela is losing many of its best people

I hate Maduro and his crappy socialist/populism so much.

All this proves that majority of us aren't that racist and xenophobic like many people say. That is just only an issue of a very little part of the population and some retarded dick-heads who use the internet very often and they are racist and xenophobic because they feel badass and powerful as anonimous. But in the street is different... We have a million of defects or more but are quite tolerant and especially with people like venezuelans and colombians, who I define exactly as Annie's did.
