That doesn't make it neccessarily a puppet state but it isn't the most powerful country in Europe with the most dangerous military weapons either. It needs to build itself up and develope good allies.

I am very anti-american when it comes to US foreign policy, trust me this alliance with America could bite them in the ass, like it does w/many US satellites. The intervention in Bosnia and Kosovo were the few successful interventions which created stability, peace. But I assure they have no say in many fronts of economic development, because they are being controlled by neoliberal corrupt politicians who have connections with America.

Russia and the congress of London is the only reason Kosovo was given to Serbia and not Albania back in the early 20th century despite having a predominantly Albanian population and the Albanians in the area fighting off the Ottomans successfully. Same thing for other Albanian dominated areas.

Serbia isn't some power house that does as it pleases, it just attacked smaller countries or ethnic groups, everything its elite had done had consequences from bigger powers, sometimes in their favor.

Whats point if Serbia was pro-western in 2007. when offering to Albanians wide autonomy and still USA reject it, strongly supporting Albanian sepparatist?

You can not possibly compare Russian relationship with Serbia and American with Kosovo. Also Russia doesn't have military base here, they have sort of Humanitarian center for natural disasters. Tho i wished they had a true military base, but our government is pro-western so that wont happen.

And Kosovo is fully american puppet, they would do anything USA says, even Albanians confirm this. And American military base Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo is one of biggest military bases in this part of world.
