What are some of the distinguishing characteristics of Slavic cultures? Please do not turn this thread into a list of stereotypes! Some examples of cultural traits would be individualistic vs. collectivistic, egalitarian vs. hierarchical, matriarchal vs. patriarchal, etc.

Slavic is a linguistic term above all else. There's too much diversity among slavic speakers to generalize them as one monolithic entity.

Us Serbs have a tradition called Slava. Its tradition of celebrating Christian Saints, each family celebrates one and their friends and family come to their house that day. Its believed that it comes from Pagan times when each family celebrated different Slavic God, it only remained in orthodox Serbian people.
