Was there any cultural barrier for you first time eating pork?

I thought "Muslims" consinder pork to be disgusting like we might would think eating insects is disgusting.

So do Jews as well, and yet, that doesn't mean that you wouldn't find any Muslims or Jews from eating it.

I haven't borned into a Muslim family. Both of my parents are atheists so there was no cultural barrier in the begging.

I was 14 first time I tried it. I was staying with my aunt (who is married with a Christian English guy) for language course in England. They were already cooking pork at home so I tried it and liked it. There was no problem.

Btw yes, Muslims think that eating pork is disgusting. Muslims also think that eating insects is disgusting but I don't know about East Asian Muslims

Never, I didn't care when I was a kid but since a decade or so I haven't eaten pork, I also avoid pork gelatin which is found in candies.
