They know their ancestors were converts though. My aunt married a Turkish Cypriot and his 2nd great grandparents were all, except one, Greek Cypriots that converted to Islam. He knows it, but he doesn't identify himself with the Greeks.

    Interesting.

It seems that Cyprus along with Albania doesn't have state religion implemented.

On Balkans Religion = Nationality in 99,9% cases.

It's just further proof of the nature of Turkey's illegal occupation of 37% of the island.
Being Greek is an experienced grounded into nation, not consumption.

I don't expect any of them to identify with Greeks. I am surprised he doesn't think his ancestors conquered China.

Because there was/is a Turkish minority, doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out when you also attempted to occupy Asia Minor with same pretext century ago.

Do you hope that the two peoples would find some reconciliation in the future? I mean, they did vote for that nationalist party in Northern Cyprus who is very..racist you can say towards non-Turks. Anyway, I do hope Cyprus would be free one day.

He is a Turkish nationalist but dislikes Turan. He thinks us Turks from the Mediterranean are seperate from Central Asian Turks and wants unity between Turks from the Balkans, Anatolia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus etc.
