Yes and I like their culture just like ancient hellenic.

Both of them are beautiful and unique in it's own way.

I know it's kinda hard to believe but modern Egyptians do have a strong liking to Greeks and vice versa regardless on what happened during the reign of Jamal Abdul Nasser.

My paternal grand father lived in Egypt for 10 years back in the 1920's, and he had made many friends there who were of Greek ancestry back in Cairo(there were some Greeks living there too but not as much as those in Alexandria).

It used to be cosmopolitan with both Eastern and Western flavours.

For Greeks who went there they never realy feelt foreign there

Because it has keept a living Greek community since ancient times.

Indeed. Hell, even my great-great paternal grandfather married a Greco-Egyptian woman back in the mid 1800's from Alexandria as well(she was from the mainland). There was thriving community even back then as well.

Egyptians and Greeks were always brothers and mixed a lot.

It's just that after Islam Egypt was left out of interest for Greeks.

We weren't cool we were just neighbors like Syrians and Palestinians and Turks.

The only people we're cool with probably Iraqis before and after Islam.
